Hello again - it's been a little while, but I'm back (and, as my grandfather used to say, that's a threat)!
Today, I'd like to talk about one of my classmates from Swarthmore, Alicia Lemke. She is an up and coming musician with a great deal of talent and a lovely voice. I've been fortunate to live in the Boston area as she has been attending school here and playing gigs in a number of local venues. I've gone to as many as I can, and every time it's a great show - I've been hooked from the first live set. And now, she's released an EP called "Shades of Motion", which I'll admit I've played on repeat quite a few times already (in fact, it's on right now)! There will be an EP release party in Boston in the near future (more info later), so if you're in the area, you should definitely check it out. And if you just can't wait, it's available for download on iTunes. It's definitely worth it - catch a glimpse of a star on the rise!
She has also started a band with some excellent musicians, called Raising Redwood - I don't have to tell you that it is quite the awesome band!
If you'd like more information, you can read about both Alicia and Raising Redwood on their websites:
